What just happened (read it after the experiment)
He is most often identified as August Landmesser, a worker at the Blohm & Voss shipyard. A member of the Nazi Party, he was expelled from it for getting engaged to a Jewish woman, Irma Eckler.
Their marriage was forbidden, and Landmesser was convicted of “dishonoring the race.” Irma died in 1942, murdered in a killing center; August went missing at the front in 1944.
Faced with a unanimous group, sometimes a single refusal is enough to show that it is possible to say no.
